What a brilliant idea!

I'm happy to host at the GrantTree offices! We're in the heart of Shoreditch. Can host about 100 people for drinks and will happily provide beers, wine and possibly pizza at no cost.

Also, we have a pool table.

Who is taking point for organising this?

Depending on numbers, we'll get Pizza, a beer barrel, etc. If just 20 people sign up we probably won't bother ;-)

This is a social before a day of talks and networking... so, mostly drinking and eating. And a lot of talking, of course.

Is 23:00 the limit, or do you think it might go longer? I'm only arriving 21:30 in Stansted, but I'd really love to join this. Should have bought a different flight, sigh.

Not a limit, but people do tend to leave as the night goes... depends how many people turn up I guess!

As for the venue, try hitting up http://shoreditchworks.com/villagehall - they are very generous with that space when it comes to user groups and other community related stuff.

If it's something like a casual visit to a pub, I'll bite. For the time being my party's having difficulty finding a place to stay though.

I checked the event calendar for the google campus. However, it seems that there is an invite only launch party for a startup at July 25th.

Shit, I wish I had a visa for the UK. Can something similar be hosted within the Schengen countries like Berlin or Prague where its more central.
