Why is it that a currency logo now needs a color scheme? Every other major currency in the world is doing fine without a special color. I don't see why Bitcoin is any different.


Well, they don't have a color scheme, but some currencies definitely have a color "identity".

The Euro is yellow on blue, like the EU flag.

When you think of the Dollar, you think green (so many popular sayings came from this one!).

I am sure there are more, but I cannot remember any at the moment.


Well, one might argue that Bitcoin isn't "every other major currency in the world", and that's the point. Extraordinary currencies call for....extraordinary logos? ;)


Visa, MasterCard, and PayPal all have color schemes.
