I not sure what the OP expects the court of appeal to do. They are tasked with determining if there is cause for appeal; in this specific case whether the original judge erred in law. They determined that he did not. They aren't saying whether the judgement was right or wrong, rather that the judgement was arrived at in a lawful manner.
