Vaguely Data Trash (1994)[1] vibes. Most humanity ending up as roadkill on the side of the information superhighway. It wasn't entirely noir, was not unhappy enough, but topical for sure.

This is really interesting, I wonder if you could class something like “Upload” on Amazon Prime as belonging to this genre or if it would be ruled out for lacking the visual aesthetic and for being too comedic.
