I guess the cases I know of its use are diabetes related, now that I think about it, but I'd seen "I take metformin, so no alcohol" enough times I thought it was a drug interaction.

Are you thinking of metronidazole?

It’s listed as an example of a drug that has the “disulfiram effect” when mixed with alcohol.
