I recently heard that the French have lobbied to prematurely ban this thing from flying over land in Europe as some kind of revenge for the US doing the same to the Concorde back in the day. Anyone else heard anything like that?

Edit: tried googling around and couldn't find anything substantial other than that the US and EU seem to have argued over noise pollution since the 70's.
