I've been skeptical of similar potential fraud going on at stoplights in my town recently

Basically someone holding a sign with a picture of a child w/ a sad story and a cash app QR code.

The thing that triggered my suspicions was seeing multiple similar type campaigns w/ just a different photo and disease. Seemed too coincidental to me.

Yes I have. I didn’t know it was a scam. I just ignore it.

Most of my family gets a "you have a virus" ad on their smartphones while using YT.

I guess the guys at Google are having problems paying their bills and are allowing these kind of ads.

Yeah, in several languages at that: Russian, Hebrew and Ukrainian.

I don’t know this is allowed by Google unless it’s not human reviewed at all.
