Cowboy up and buy a Windows PC, or at least install fricking OpenOffice if you're persnickety.

It's 2011, the efforts to boycott Microsoft have failed, the world is tooled to use Word for documents and Excel for lists and basic numerics. Adapt or suffer the consequences.



On the contrary, I see more and more pdf usage. Word is just a mediocre tool for editing documents and it is not supposed to be an exchange format.


Haven't used Word for CV's in a long time, Google Docs is sufficient (save as .doc or .pdf from there if needed).


I didn't suffer any consequences.
