I'm not a screen reader user, but I have ublock origin on my mobile filtering out media elements over 1000kb. Instead I was given the alt texts for at least one of the images. It's great when people do this, so many times I also just get emails from marketing that are images only without any descriptors, and I can't help but think about how many international groups simply don't care about accessibility.


wow I didn't know uBlock could do that!

Does it actually prevent the large media elements from downloading? how?


Presumably by closing the connection based on the Content-Length response header.
