I was the Web Developer for a well known environmental charity for 2 years. ~10 years experience. Was earning 63k AUD plus super (no bonuses).

As I discovered later, the average salary for the same role in the for-profit sector is around 80k AUD plus super in Tasmania.

Looks like a Weebly issue, see https://www.facebook.com/weebly/posts/132902413424071?commen... (last comment)

Hi,

I help run the anti-spam team here at Weebly, and I can report that we're not observing any notifications from Facebook indicating that sites on the Weebly network are blocked. I've run a few tests using some popular sites on the network, and wasn't blocked from posting any of them.

More importantly, the site that the OP posted is not hosted on Weebly.

I recommend reaching out to Facebook for more information.

I think the term you're looking for is "vapourware", but these guys appear to be the real deal.

heh. well i have a 4 digit slashdot identity i'm willing to auction....

Looks interesting, but as a side note; slow your homepage slider rotation down by a few seconds. It's way too fast to be able read it properly.

Or don't have a slider/carousel. Indeed, the website is pretty terrible, as is the icon/logo.

Hit Find jobs! and the application threw an error: "We're sorry, but something went wrong."

I get the same..

Working on it, pushing a fix now - messed up the lazy registration, sorry so unique constraint on email was messing things up. EDIT: fixed

You probably want to TDD your Rails apps in future :)

My first thoughts were: 1. Don't make customers login to make a purchase, allow guest checkouts and this will improve your conversion rate. 2. The homepage is too crowded, reduce the number of call to actions/buy now choices.

Ok guest checkout is a good idea, totally overlooked that. Thanks.

With the homepage do you mean just have the single deal. And remove the deals on the side?

Yes, as nithinpb has said too, just focus on a single deal on the homepage. Users/customers will find it easier than having to scan through multiple options/deals.
