It was a glass factory, so why not ask permission to exist as a factory. Maybe there would be lesser requirements. Hackerspace is not really an office.

The concern is that we teach classes, which people don't do in a glass factory.

Then open source came along. Welcoming everybody to improve the code. But it seems like there some ego issues there too.

My suggestion is a satellite going around the Sun between Earth and Mars, so that there would be more visibility.

I once saw a girl who separated each kernel with her fingers and ate it. I have not seen anyone else do that. She was eating in spirals, but I thought this is something worth mentioning because I have not seen anyone else do that.

If there is a satellite that orbits between Earth and Mars parallel to orbit of Mars, there could be better transmission.

The main thing is that the rover only has about 8 minutes a day to transmit to the orbiting satellites.

The optimal thing would be a satellite in areostationary orbit over Mars' equator such that it is always reachable by the lander.

Unfortunately such a satellite wouldn't be well-placed for many other potential landing sites.

This kind of old news. This has been a problem for many years. But this year there has been no rain yet in Bangalore. I suppose the rains should have started in beginning of June. Many farmers who planted the seeds expecting rains, have lost crops. So, there could be use of excess stocks this year.

There is some problem with the title of the article. It could also mean that you dont need 8 hours of sleep. Other point is the need for sleep varies with age. Babies sleep for very long time like 14 hours; old people need only 5 to 6 hours of sleep. The 8 hour sleep is for youth between 25 and 40 i think. Otherwise, very original point, I have never thought sleeping in 4-hour chunks was natural.

When we go and see a movie and dont like it, we should get the money back.

Yeah, like when we go to a restaurant and dont like the food. Oh, wait...

Most of the time when you don't like the food, if you talk to the manager you will get offered another entree, a discount, or a refund depending on what the problem was (e.g. just didn't care for it vs. it was burnt vs. there was a dead cockroach in it, etc.)

Except that, you can't put the food back on cook's table, while nothing happens with the movie as such. They still have it.

Yeah, but

a) you already saw the movie -- what's to say you aren't a cheapskate, BSting them to avoid paying?

b) you already occupied a space on the cinema that somebody else could have used

c) they already paid for the reel to the movie distributor

oh, and the most important:

d) it's a work of art, and subjective. Who said you only get to pay for the movies you like? If you don't like Citizen Kane you should get your money back?

Wear highly reflective object like a diamond on the face, preferably on the forehead. It will project light to the camera and create random pattern on the face. What do you think?

A reflective eye-patch would be a nice idea. Are the materials which interfere with cameras but are not too annoying to other people?
