PHP. Why? Because if you ever move your app to a hosted server, you'll have tons of hosting options with PHP. Only a few with Python.

Hopefully, PHP would still be the right choice for me if I then have to move beyond the single hosted server.

That is interesting though; that there does seem to be a ton of hosting options with PHP versus Python.

Yep... c++ is a great language. Doesn't force one paradigm onto the programmer. Fast, portable and very efficient too. I heard the new F-35 jet fighter is using c++ over ada.

BeOS was C++

not the kernel! it was very strictly C-only, no C++ allowed. the application frameworks were in C++, but that's not really the "operating system."

and i'm in a position to know. i actually worked at Be for awhile.

Adding certs to browsers is only one or two clicks (once). Also, Firefox on many Linux distros (maybe BSDs??) already include CAcert roots.

I use their SSL certs for domains. Works great. I also use their personal S/MIME certs. Here's one site using a CAcert SSL certificate. Hostgator only charged 10 dollars to install it. https://16systems.com/main.html

The NTIS sells this data (SSA death master record) as well... to folks inside and outside the US... 80 million plus records: http://www.ntis.gov/products/pages/ssa-death-master.asp
