One of trending 'dirty' trick while signup is multiple social account signup. Signup form shows social singup like linkedin or facebook. User chooses one, say linkedin, you think it almost signedup. Then application would say something like - we 've stopped linkedin sign up - use facebook instead. You are left no choice to use facebook. But if you look closely, they use both social account graphs to learn MUCH more about you. Latest big name I came across doing this is slideshare!

The intro did get me thinking me thinking, though: it's interesting to me how in American culture we consistently and somewhat wrongly stereotype other languages as sounding villanous (Russian), harsh (German), or difficult (Chinese). It seems to me that as far as Hollywood is concerned, Arabic could have taken all three, but it hasn't. It also got me wondering if there are special watchlists somewhere for people who study Arabic for fun or for no apparent reason.
I believe he's implying that women have been and continue to be sexualized in a way and to an extent that men are not.
I'm fine with this particular example but I wholeheartedly agree with the comment. However me being fine with it isn't enough - everyone already takes me seriously. I haven't always seen that same courtesy extended to women engineers.
