Hasina had gone nuts and was torturing people. I don’t think people are gonna wanna invest in a country where someone like that is in charge plus Adani already has them over a barrel.
China does that and people are fine investing there. Bangladesh isn’t Vermont, you can’t apply the same rules. However many people Hasina killed will pale in comparison to the excess child deaths that will result from interrupting GDP growth.
But he hasn't done anything yet, he just wants to. There's no legal standing for it at this point beyond what I said. Every case I've been able to find was tied to fraud associated with the naturalization process (either the process itself, or false statements given during the process).
Lack of legal standing is not something that has ever stopped this administration from doing something it has decided to do. Best case scenario is Miller gets thrown under the bus after the goal is accomplished.
For the presidential election sure, but I wouldn't underestimate state level organization of the DNC in the rural west and Midwest.
The issue is fractured fundraising basically undermines the local organization by funding challenger candidates, which alienates local Dems and depresses turnout (TDP is notorious for this).
Iowa is going to be a competitive race hence why Joni Ernst decided to not run for reelection.
He always told me he didn't support any one party outright but he also told me Pakistan was a great country so I could put two and two together. He also called Prothom Alo communists.
