Per the article, the attacker can restart the camera and potentially find the accurate position of it. However, if the attacker can be physically in proximity within the camera range, they can MITM it and intercept the video feed. So it depends on your friend's threat model. If the camera is recording something in a public location and they don't mind the location being exposed and potentially the video feed (like plenty of live public cameras), then it shouldn't be an issue. Otherwise, they need to disable it until it gets fixed.
yes, everything can be automated, and as you people don't always have time to automate everything, so it depends if your area has many c200 which is a home camera, not outdoor
As @tehlike said in a sibling comment, it looks like it is supported by https://thingino.com, so you can 'update' the firmware to a more secure (and FOSS) one!
What many people are missing is what is in the fees. Consumer protection and risk mitigation. If you are dealing with "cash" payments, like A2A or crypto, there are no consumer protection. Not even auth and capture flows. These are basic needs in a transactional commerce system, which the card companies provide.
A recent study published in Science Advances reveals that fluoxetine, a commonly prescribed antidepressant, offers protective benefits against sepsis. The research demonstrates that fluoxetine enhances interleukin-10 (IL-10)–dependent metabolic defenses, leading to improved survival rates in sepsis-induced disease models. This protective effect is achieved through multiple mechanisms, including antimicrobial properties and modulation of inflammatory responses. The findings suggest that fluoxetine's anti-inflammatory and metabolic effects could be harnessed as a therapeutic strategy for sepsis.
Sepsis is a life-threatening condition that occurs when the body's response to an infection goes out of control, leading to widespread inflammation, tissue damage, and organ failure. It happens when the immune system, instead of fighting off the infection, starts attacking the body's own tissues.
