They already effectively halved it with the introduction of Opus 4.7 and the new tokenizer that basically gives you about half as much usage for the same price.. Convenient to price based on tokens, and leave what a token is a moving target..
DDLC is one of those once in a lifetime gaming experiences. Like most people commenting - I had no interest in the style or genre, but I am immensely glad I played it!

Cool app. It takes a lot of courage to share here, so well done. I’d definitely highlight a bit more prominently what languages it supports though.

- How did you go about developing this?
- Was the entire thing vibe coded or just part of it? No shade either way, just curious.
- How long did it take?
- What were some of the harder hurdles to overcome?
- Given the use of AI, what’s your approach to security of your users data? How did you review any generated code?

I just wanted to use it myself as it's always hard to find a native speaker to speak with when learning a language. The app is partly vibe coded. I myself am a software developer and had no problem reviewing the vibe coded code. I think it took me a little more than a month give or take, as i was not consistent with my commitment. I would say the syncing part of the conversation was the challenging part, which is still not perfect to be honest. As for user data, i don't store much of user data apart from the minutes used.

Solitude in your 30s (particularly as a DINK or SINK household) is dangerously addictive.
No need to leave the house… but it does lead one to feel disconnected more broadly over a prolonged period.
They’ll have to pry WFH out of my cold, dead hands; but I must say, the times I do travel to the office and spend a day chatting with people are incredibly energising (though also very unproductive!)

The real problem is that solitude in your 30s is peaceful. So peaceful. So much so that if you built your own safety net and covered your back, solitude is so peaceful that you might end up not even wanting a romantic partner at all.
Anybody that had their fair share of storms in life can confirm that having a calm, peaceful life of solitude can be so peaceful one often doesn't really want to change that.
Yeah, it most certainly does. Very noticeable on iOS. I don’t know if this is an Apple specific thing, or if it’s a similar story on Android.
It’s WireGuard underneath, which is designed to not be very chatty when idle, so I’d put this down to regular back and forth with Tailscale’s control plane, relays, etc.
It’s a shame really, because a huge value prop of TS is that it’s a VPN you just leave on and forget about. I hate having to toggle it when I inevitably forget to and wonder why I’m getting connection errors to private resources.
I have an ipv6 wireguard vpn from my iOS phone to my home network. It routes all traffic through my home isp. I use the wireguard iOS client. Battery life has been fine for me. One caveat is that background updates are disabled for almost every app.
Are there any plans to offer a simple/configurable WAF either as an included feature or as an optional add-on?
