I bought SimpleRSS.com a little while ago with the intention of building an alternative and open-source RSS reader. If anyone's interested in acquiring the domain, message me! ;)

+1 for Checkvist. This tool is so versatile it's unbelievable. I find myself using it for everything, from time tracking to note taking.

[non-constructive criticism]

I imagine it will also be useful to people in the England, Australia, South Africa, Canada, West Indies, Zimbabwe, Pakistan, New Zealand and probably other countries.

*The above mentioned countries were listed in no particular order, except for England which is where I currently live.

Yeah that was the idea :)

Disclaimer: I'm in Indian-American.

Comment: I'm sorry, but I hadn't realized that HackerNews was for Americans only?

Note: It is community driven, if the community likes something, whether for sports or just for the hack it is OK for it to be on the front-page.

Neither did i actually .

And yes thats what i felt too, thats why posted it there :)

I'm sorry . I didn't realize .. But this is not only for Indians , right ?

No offline maps?! The Google boys need to go out more and see how the real world uses their phones. Very often, I found myself needing maps the most in areas with poor network reception (e.g., the Swiss Alps) and in places where data connectivity was not an option (e.g., London underground). I was very excited to hear about HTC implementing such a feature in their latest Sense builds and I hope Google will catch up and make it a native feature.

Edit: Okay, it seems they know about the problem and apparently the new version of Google Maps for Mobile will have some sort of offline caching capabilities. Hurray!

Well Opera has gone Cocoa since 10.5 and feels much more native than it used to.

Still, I wish it had the same level of polish as Chrome does on OS X.

They've been more focused on 'Macification' since 10.50 apparently. There's some discussion of this over on the Opera engineer AMA Reddit thread:

It does work, you just need to mask as Firefox: http://my.opera.com/haavard/blog/2010/09/08/google-instant
