Discovering this years ago was such a rabbit hole. They had a fake SF Bay-adjacent office street address (Walnut Creek maybe?) and had incorporated their US HQ in Michigan using a fake street address. This web site lists Rebex but they stole code from others like SyncFusion, whose staff confirmed to us the scam and that they were aware of them.

Yeoman's work. TY!

caltech

As someone who wanted to apply at Caltech for my masters, would you mind elaborating?

Alliteration. They wrote "paragon of pulchritude", which to me sounds like smart, dry humor. It works.

Precisely. The phrase is pretty popular in prose, particularly when prefixed with 'perfect'.

Pronounced Bidi like MIDI, or Bidi like Wifi, or (?)

Bye-dye (Bi-directional).

Some people/locales pronounce wifi as "wiffy".

Or like bidis, the wonderful flavoured cigarettes banned by Mr. Obama's execrable FDA in 2014, to rhyme with 'needy.'

Man, I miss them.

Like MIDI

Tcl was the first language used. I laughed, but only because I've developed in Tcl and it has its time and place. Though I don't remember how to do an if statement in Tcl off the top of my head. Update: ok, its squiggly brackets; that's right.

I've been using TCL more and more lately. It's ability to use its own interpreter is super handy. I made a static site generator in it most recently.

TL; DR:

What is this? These pages are a collection of facts (identities, approximations, inequalities, relations, ...) about matrices and matters relating to them. It is collected in this form for the convenience of anyone who wants a quick desktop reference.

In case you were, uh, expecting to see Keanu Reeves in a kitchen apron.

Thanks. I was just now straining to remember what food was shown in the films. A bowl of snot. A juicy & delicious steak. The oracle's cookies. I actually never realized before that food is such a theme. Makes sense, it is a very non-machine activity to consume food.

Dang. Now I feel like running a GAN to come up with new recipes!

Obligatory XKCD https://xkcd.com/720/

How can you forget the slice of cake that the merovingian reprogrammed?

Prefer not to think of the sequels if possible.

I was expecting the recipes for the "protein shake" they eat in the Nebuchadnezzar and Cypher's steak :(

for like minded people: https://youtu.be/eA6uLMsl9w0

Personally I was expecting linear-algebra based recipes that let you vary proportions continuously or something.

I only ever took one course in university on linear algebra and numerical methods, and I'm an electronic engineering student. But my hobbies (mathematical classical and Marxian economics) necessitate a deep understanding of matrices, sets and vector algebra. I hope this will help me!

First I had to have restraint to not downvote you for making me go down that very interesting 5 post rabbit hole....

Second, in one of the articles I found one of the best quotes I’ve ever heard about when not to use exceptions....

When you’re writing code in the IDE, it is correct code that is the exception!

To summarize, neologism Canary MacGuffin represents one likely, visible event (to the requestor) the requestee would have to do while Shaving the Yak (?)
