There doesn't seem to be much take up of their Lumberyard engine either I've noticed. EVERYWHERƎ, the upcoming game from Leslie Benzies (Ex Rockstar Games) started development with it but switched to Unreal Engine last year.

I'd love MS to share some details on how they achieved this. From what I've read, game devs just have to agree to their games being made available on the Xbox one, so it apparently all done on Microsofts side.

Meteor & Iconic create web & mobile apps, not desktop applications.

I would imagine that being written in PHP is the main selling point for end users who don't have the knowledge to set up a Node.js based website.

Also taking in the global context, most hosting plans that are payed in the specific country currency run on PHP without any configuration, just put your PHP files there and puff...magic, a website is running

Yes it is. You don't have to setup PHP. It comes preinstalled and preconfigured on most hosting products. You can copy Ospari and start to blog. No step and no configuration needed.

This will probably make me seem ungrateful but to me that bundle seems to be quantity over quality. Don't get me wrong - there's some nice stuff in there but there's also a high proportion of cruft (geocities phoned and want their graphics back).

More accident than design but there was Mike the headless chicken: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mike_the_Headless_Chicken

Here's a lovely audio slideshow that captures the essence of Ceefax, complete with that cheesy music that accompanied everything: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-19996372

When I was young, I would sneak downstairs in the early morning on weekends to watch cartoons. If I was too early, nothing would be on apart from ceefax. I must have listened to that music for hundreds of hours.

I actually found myself quite liking the MIDI files....

Yeah, I got to hear a really sweet Alanis Morissette tune. :) :/ :(

I got some Sheryl Crow action http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l1OfNKorIKA

And here's to thinking that the media companies were scared of MIDI files 'sounding' like the copyrighted tunes they have.

Slightly O/T, but does anyone else find the reviews for this app a tad, well, suspicious? Virtually all 5* and the wording of the reviews is all very similar.

The app prompts you to give it a five star review at various points. It presents you with a button that says "rate this app five stars" or something along those lines. I haven't pressed it so I couldn't tell you what process comes after that, if any.

Ah, thanks. I deleted the app as soon as it asked to me to give a Facebook login or email address.

How else would your friends get in touch with you to start trading drawings? It's unobtrusive and slick. The only facebook related things I've seen from this app are terrible drawings that people are sharing.

I shared my username with my friend via iMessage. I am very wary of adding any sort of application to Facebook, especially anything with "in-app purchase".

http://pure.fm/ The progressive channel in particular does to for me, but they have excellent sets on all their channels.
