Haha, thanks for catching. I use it to track when I swap one stock for another to remind me that I should probably just not do anything at all..

We'll let you download the video after, and delete it too! Maybe all in one-button. I'm assuming you don't want cloud because of your data? Even better for us, we don't have to pay for hosting..

Free for now! But we're hoping to build a small side business out of this, so we'll probably charge for say, over 10m videos, higher fidelity videos, hosting lots of videos, etc.

Anything in that list feel unfair? Anything you'd add?

It's not at all unfair.

But I'd never use the service. Still is suspect HN isn't your target audience anyways.

You're probably right. Can I ask why you'd never use it? What if you could download & delete the cloud recording with one button?

I'd considered them givens under GDPR!

I know I'm just a random stranger on the internet - but I swear to God I didn't even use Vimeo as a reference for what it's worth! :)

free right now! but we do plan to add a paid tier at some point. But the hope is to always have some amount of the service free

Yea we’ll have to charge probably like $5-10mo eventually. For now, just want to know if the rewind feature is useful!

That's the idea :)

Thanks! Please give it a shot and let us know what you think!

How do we contact you for a resume if you don't have an email?

I'm one of the co-founders of Scoops. Been shipping products for awhile, and the problem is, most of the time nobody wants them. That's time & money down the drain. Scoops was built to be an affordable way to validate some key assumptions about your market early and fast.

You can use this research to see if people actually have the problem you're trying to solve, or if your value proposition resonates with anyone at all.

1. For $12, ask 100 people a question 2. Then, once they answer, find out whether there are demographic trends in how people answered. 3. Armed with that data, follow up with additional questions & even interview them to really get to the bottom of your market assumptions.

To address the most commonly asked question: Right now when you ask a question it goes to people of various genders, occupations, ages, and countries (predominantly US) - we're working on audience targeting but aren't there yet. However, most of the time people who want to target are biasing their data - it's better to cast your net wide and see what fish swim in. Thanks in advance for any feedback/thoughts!
