> We should all just leave it and maybe try again in a few generations with entirely new premises.

Nice try troll. Given your views and username might it be a stretch to assume you align more with the eastern side of governance ?

> At this point, the EU can't be fixed. It has to be abandoned completely, both as an idea and as an implementation. EU requirements were wrong, architecture was worse, and the implementation was the worst.

Dying to see your citations for these.

"What did the Romans ever do for US?" :P

> People need to directly elect the MP

They do.

> directly elect some kind of president

I get the impression you're coming at it from a US perspective, and it's not that, and doesn't intend to be for now. The president is elected by majority of the MP's who have been elected by the people of their respective countries. Almost like the US electorial system, except it's done internally because people generally only vote for their own best interests and not that of the entirety.

Perfect, no, it can be slow and a lot of red tape, but what system isn't flawed.

I was applying recently to a role that was pretty interesting and so I wrote the email on the train on my way home, didn't have my laptop with me.

In the email I wrote out everything myself, absolutely no use of AI, but after I hit send I realised there was a pretty silly typo, nothing grave but it irked me.

I decided out of boredom to see would my email be considered AI as it was probably going to go through a million filters these days, I popped it into an online checker (I don't know the quality of these so who knows) and it told me with 75% certainty it was written by AI.

It was not at all. It was written overly hastily on a phone on public transport. So I wonder how someone who might be grammar orientated and particular with the semantics would prove otherwise.

I can see a company needing to find any excuse to let people go saying "well theAI says you used the AI to do your work, we're letting you go"

If I was to take my tinfoil hat off, one could see a world where Facebook let this happen in the first place in order to have a case to make for less security in communications.

I don't like Meta in any sense of the word and I think they've degraded humanity and society as a whole significantly for generations now to come. But I hope my conspiratorial mind is just over reacting.

> comparing publicly listed product prices across e-commerce sites

Those prices and information is for the public viewers, the reason why some people have ROBOTS.txt for example is to reduce the traffic load that slop crawlers generate. The bandwidth is not free so why would you assume to ignore their ROBOTS.txt when you're not footing the bill ?

Am I mistaken but in theory aren't Solvenia and Isreal technically allies ?

I'm not naive to believe intelligence agencies don't target each other in many ways, but general voting interference seems quite brazzen. I would love to see an example being made out of them here.

That said, bar sanctions, Isreali 'private' companies like this seem to have carte blanch on whatever they want to do. No sanctions, no fines, not even investigations will happen I fear.

How are they technically allies? Israel is not in eu or nato.

If you mean broadly, western-minded, yes but slovenia expressed some uncomfortable positions for israel lately

> yes but slovenia expressed some uncomfortable positions for Israel lately

hasn't everyone though ? Does that mean Isreal is in the clear to interfere ?

> Israel is not in eu or nato. No of course not, but there is an alignment technically, I guess the western minded.

Ireland is not a NATO member but there would be some backlash from hearing Isreal was interfearing in elections.

No, most of the EU has not condemned the atrocities in Gaza. Slovenia did, it recognized Palestine and banned weapon sales

> but general voting interference seems quite brazzen.

It's also not a new tactic. During his '68 presidential campaign against Lyndon Johnson, Nixon convinced the South Vietnamese to not engage in peace talks with the Communists to weaken Johnson's campaign. The war went on for 7 more years and killed hundreds of thousands of Americans and Vietnamese.

When it comes to IL most of the EU's countries leadership strategy comes down to getting willingly fucked and getting their population fucked for literally no benefit, just so that elites will not be temporarily called "anti-semitic".

It's nuts. Israel's idea of being an ally is fucking all their allies over, with useless war they can't win but that will erase and reverse within a few weeks all benefit countries like mine (Czechia) ever derived from a bilateral trade with them, just based on increased energy prices alone. (Compared to Slovenia, it's well deserved here, though. Czechs should suffer, to learn.)

This little stuff, like meddling in elections, is nothing, compared to big effects of IL state policy.

Israel doesn't have allies aside from US, they nurture a herd of masochist sycophant states.

I think you forgot to put the /s at the end there.

> Bear in mind, I am 45 years old. I have an Apple account for 25 years, the age of my personal account alone should already verify my age.

Someone make it make sense.

> use a local LLM inside your wordpress CMS

For when wordpress doesn't have enough exploits and bugs as it is. Also why bother with wordpress in the first place if you're already having an LLM spit out content for you ?

What's your point? Don't use LLM for CMS content? That my code is buggy? Or that people shouldn't trust the LLM they run on their computer on their own website?

You can check the code for exploits yourself. And other than that it's just your LLM talking to your own website.

> Also why bother with wordpress in the first place

Weird question, but sure, I use WordPress, because I have a website that I want to run with a simple CMS that can also run my custom Wordpress plugins.

Requiring ID to browse the internet is doing the parents jobs of managing what their kids are doing online.

Stopping misleading advertisments and mental health issues while claiming to be protecting children is not on the parents. The parents were given the false information to believe their kids would be safe.

I've never seen Meta advertising themselves as a kindergarten or a playground for kids. They have always been perceived as public square or forum. It's wild to leave your child alone in public place and expect safety.
