Aren't you confusing Apple Pay vs Apple Card? I think only Apple Card as the beaver you talk about, rolling a new number every time you use it.

I've tried many hn mobile redesigns and have settled with http://hn.premii.com and use it every single day!

Hmm, just says "Loading..." for me on my antique old setup (original Galaxy S, Opera) - and frankly the main site actually works fine. In fact none of these alternatives look better imho, and I like to see how many comments are already up before opening an article - something many of them leave out.

That's the closest thing I found to using the Hacker News Enhancement Suite on my mobile and tablet.

In fact, I liked it so much that I wrote a little bookmarklet that changes hckrnews.com comment and article links to point to hn.premii.com.

Did they make an iOS app as well? This looks just like my HN iOS app. Love it.

I use the iOS app. I wish the developer would update it to support left edge slide for going back.

They have it on the App Store and Google Play, but you can just use it on any browser. I use it on my desktop regularly!

Yeah, it's the nicest one I've seen by far. HackerWeb is a not-so-close second.

Mozilla was very clever to partner with a big mobile telecom operator early on. Through Telefonica we're seeing good acceptance by OEM! I'm looking to see a Sony's equipment running Firefox OS than an Alcatel or ZTE... Still I'm looking forward for Ubuntu Touch and Jolla's Sailfish but is there enough market for everyone?

If Mozilla is making a new revenue source from this besides the one they get from Google searches, then it might be worth it even to have 1-2% market share for them, as long as it's a viable business to use FF OS for the OEM's involved.

Same goes for Ubuntu. Ubuntu is being used on only like 20 million new devices every year, I think. If they can double that number with their mobile devices, that would be very good for them. In 2014 that will only be 1% of the smartphone market.

I'm sorry for my honest comment but this just proves what some people over the world thinks: Americans are dumb! =X

I hope you understand why you are going to be aggressively downmodded, and it's not because of any nationalism. It's because this sort of comment is beneath the basic standards of cordiality in any serious discussion, even in a forum as notoriously crass as this one. Not to mention it adds nothing to the discussion of substance, having even less impact than "Me too!"

What's more, it's not even fair. Indeed, the entire point of this trial was for Apple to make a case that consumers are confused in America. So you can't really accept the verdict of this case and then say this is implausible or "Americans are stupid." If Apple is right, then Samsung has engaged in deliberate deception. If Samsung is right, then it's not unreasonable to ask if Apple actually has been overcharging people off on phones dictated by basic design principles.

What I can't understand is what sort of message the media over there is sending about the whole trial that gets people to think that their hardware is the "same"... Even non tech fellows understand "oranges and apples", in most situations! Maybe we're better educated on this subject on my region but most people understand this stuff. People that don't understand this, don't give a crap for the actual brand and just buy some Huawei or carrier branded phone/tablet.

Then just buy an Windows Phone! There you can combine Facebook + Twitter + LinkedIn + you name it ;)

is it good compared to what android do? I never considered buying one but why not actually.

me 2! :)

It's also common here in Portugal :)

I love their Apple website screenshot: http://thenextweb.com/apple/files/2011/04/Apple_Vatican2a.pn... XD

I really miss Pownce for this. I loved it because I could share anything I wanted with my friends. :)
