First principles of AI: Machine learning; supervised learning; classification; categories. Not so much of a black box really, but it's ever important to shed light on the practices of placing things in boxes, i.e. category work.

There is a moral obligation. That's kind of the dilemma I'm trying to put forward. We prefer, as you say, to let the authorities decide on what's the best way to handle it.
