I like your thinking - @michaeltroy - artsbox.com

Truth be told. Yes.

Thank gosh I am not the only one.

What was your proposal for?

I look to lease rich-media tools for plastic surgeons' websites. Instead of clinical copy to sell procedures, Moxe’s media player will use voice, photography, text, and 3D animation to engage visitors. Practices can shorten the sales cycle with marketing that sells more effectively to women. Been at it two years.

wow very interesting! I can imagine the market is good. Especially here in California.

Thanks Jason...most docs get 40-60% of their new patients from the Internet. There is a single dominating competitor. They have a 99.9% lifelike android operated on in graphic detail. Certainly not something that sells surgery. They are still killing it.

Correction though. November 5th is the date that Y Combinator will notify applicants that have made it to interview stage.

yes, true, you are notified to do the interview on the Weekend of Nov 20-22

Trying to be conscious of feeling like I am burning (out). If I can be conscious of that feeling, I am able to detach to a certain degree. This enables me to go a hell of a lot further. I guess simply being aware that I may be burning out helps me find perspective.

For the most part, I view the RFP as a way to encourage wrong and ill-fitting service providers or third party consultants to engage with your company or business. Simply put, an RFP is just a tick-a-box approach to seeking skills and services externally. The tick-a-box approach and mentality by it's nature sets up a very black and white context. This is the problem. Business for the most part is not purely objective.

A better approach I think, would to be more proactive and approach only those service providers or companies that are somewhat aligned with your business or company values and vision.

Another solution (for bigger companies) would be to fund smaller independent teams to consult as an acting external supplier.

Thanks for the great comments. I particularly love perpetuity's comment ;)

@rmason. Thank you. These are exactly my thoughts. I hesitated writing this post because I have not had that 'big success' yet.
