It is a great PM book. Thanks for linking to my write up!

Yeah, that seems to be the case. I'm on a kbin instance, can join magazines (subreddits) on other instances. Votes seem to propagate across instances.

I'm paying for YoutubeTV / YT Premium / Netflix / Prime / D+. We're getting AppleTV as part of some free bundle but can't remember why.

Despite all that. The thing I watch the most is content loaded on to my Plex server. It's just easier than dealing with trying to track down shows at all the places.

IMO what stopped music piracy was having all the content under one easy to access service. It's a lesson that TV / Movies studios haven't figured out yet.

I wanted to learn about NLP and text analysis. I'm using the idea of a better job board as a way to learn about this.

I'm using AI-powered text analysis to review each job description and pull out keywords specific to the world of product management. I match these against a corpus of career advice for each keyword. I assemble those career advice snippets into a custom job-specific interview guide.

I'm focused on PM because I have domain expertise there. However, this concept could extend to other job sites.

I think there is a value proposition for both job seekers and recruiters. Job seekers receive tactical advice on how to succeed during the interview process. Recruiters hopefully see a better quality candidate come through the door.

Would love feedback - positive or negative. Not sure how to get the word out and would love some advice there. I don't have an ad budget.

Does this add an abstraction layer over services like Mailgun? It wasn't obvious from the README.

The abstraction is at the SMTP level at the moment, so it'll work with Mailgun, but not through their APIs just yet.

It knows no specifics of any mail provider, but works with any which support SMTP.

I should make that a bit clearer, thanks!

Updated!

How did you actually get those first few users? What was your biggest source of traffic?

Oooh. Great question.

I'd vote for Meditations by Marcus Aurelius

I think it's really a good idea to start looking for a job before you need to.

I've actually never looked for a job per-se, instead I've looked for companies that I've found interesting and then figured out how to get a job at those companies. This usually involves networking.

I would start by creating a list of companies that you think wow that would be a cool place to work. Then start figuring out if a job opened up who you need to speak with.

I've never landed a job by submitting a resume to a job board or to the HR department of the hiring company.

In fact, I already had an offer from my last job before HR even saw my resume.
